Several weeks ago Firefox started receiving some intrusion that opened a new tab and told me I had won a prize or qualified for some benefit. How do I block such intrusions? I have McAfee security through ATT/Y:ahoo.

I will wait until it happens again and I can take better notes and send you a web site.

Do a malware check with some malware scan programs. You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

Thank you! I don't have time right now to try your suggestions. I do run Advanced SystemCare Pro. Here are my notes since my original post. 1) I click my usual Firefox desktop icon. 2) I don’t get my “My.yahoo” Firefox page, but instead get http://my.yahoo.com/?_bc=1 3) On that page, I get superimposed this message: “We noticed you may have signed in or signed out in another window. Click OK to reload your page”. Before I can click OK, I regularly get events such as are listed in 4 – 7, below. 4) Example: In a separate tab, this popped up: http://the-consumer-reporter.org/jobs3/?from=US_1_113594_5_${SUBID 5) Example: When I clicked the “X” on tab in 4), above, to close it, I got this instead: http://www.kevinsmoneytree.org/ns3.php?from=US_1_113594_5_${SUBID&via=H-extpop 6) When I tried to close 5), I got this message: Skeptical? I don't blame you because I felt the same way when I heard about it. Then I found this Article from a local Newspaper. Click "Cancel" to read what Totally convinced me. Finally I found the way to beat the Recession and Spend more time with my family and have Financial Security all for $2.00! 7) Example: This ad popped up, not in a separate tab, but over the my.yahoo tab. http://cdn.optmd.com/V2/76675/200634/index.html?g=Af////8=&r=www.houston.com/ 8) When I click OK, I get http://my.yahoo.com/ but need to sign in each time, which I didn’t have to do before.
