Firefox crashes

I had a firefox crash, and when I re-open firefox I get a report that says: We're Sorry

Firefox had a problem and crashed. We'll try to restore your tabs and windows when it restarts.

To help us diagnose and fix the problem, you can send us a crash report.

when I try to click the restart button it just keeps bringing up the same prompt. I've restarted, shut down and done everything I can think of to no success.
