firefox is running somewhere on my computer and I cannot find it to get rid of it
I had firefox 7 runnint. The IT people told me to use ff3.6. I downloaded 3.6 without uninstalling 7 and now firefox does not open at all. When I go to control panel to uninstall, it says it is running and I have to close it, but it is not running anywhere I can find it. When I try to install it, it says it is running but I dont know where it is.

Start with item #2
- close Firefox with File > Exit or "Firefox" button > Exit. (not with the "X" in upper right corner that just closes the Window). Give Firefox some time to close and
- check that "firefox.exe" is finished via Windows 7 shortcut to WTM "Ctrl+Shift+Esc" in the "Processes" tab make sure that firefox.exe is no longer running -- if it is still running then terminate it by selecting the use "End Process" button or from context menu. (don't check the "Applications" tab you need to check processes.)
- proceed with the install
I can no longer open firefox. Uninstall won't let me uninstall because it says it is running, but when I click on the icon, nothing happens.
