I would like to password protect my email account so that only those with the password can access my mail. How do I go about this? I am sure that I once had this feature then it seemed to disappear following a new version of Mozzila being installed.

Go to the "Firefox" orange square in the top left corner, if you have the latest version of Firefox, options, options, then a smaller window opens, security, you will then have the options of remembering passwords or not, and/or deleting the passwords you stored on Firefox. You will usually have to go to your email service and un-click the "remember me" box.

-> click Firefox button and click Options (OR File Menu -> Options) -> Security panel -> Remove Checkmark from Remember Passwords for sites -> click Saved Passwords button and click Remove All button -> click Close

-> Click OK on Options window -> Restart Firefox

-> Go to your Email Website

  • Enter Username & Password
  • Remove Checkmark from Keep Me Signed-in or Remember Me
  • click Log-in or Sign-in button

Check and tell if its working.

Thanks for the help! I cannot find the 'Keep Me Signed-in' or 'Remember Me' options at my hotmail website. Can you provide further assistance? Mark.

On your system, doesn't the Hotmail page show up as displayed in the screenshot above (without entering any username and password) ?? IF NO then do the following:

-> Clear Cookies & Cache

-> Clear the Network Cache

-> Reload web page(s) and bypass the cache.

  • Press and hold Shift and left-click the Reload button.
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Cmd + Shift + R" (MAC)

Check and tell if its displaying correctly now (as viewed in the screenshot).
