my firefox is not automatically updating
I have my update settings configured to automatically update and it has not updated since May 15 2011. I have not been prompted to update to Firefox 5.0

Did you try Help > About Firefox > [Check for update]
update options are on Tools > Options > Update
I did, yes. The update was there. Thank you.
