Sharebuilder recently "udated" their web site and now won't let me log on unless I "upgrade" to a newer version of Firefox. A note on the force to upgrade screen says I need 128 bit SSL.

I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.20 with Win 98 on an HP Pavilion.

Firefox ever since it was known as Phoenix 0.1 has supported 256-bit encryption even if the sites provides support.

It may be due to the website not recognizing or supported the ancient Firefox 2.0 you are using (yes I know Fx 2.0.0.20 is last for Win98) due to browser sniffing.

You could try the User Agent Switcher extension at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/user-agent-switcher/

and perhaps you could manually change the useragent to say Firefox 3.6.17 to fool the site.
