The videos on these pages do not play (in neither FF 3.6.17 nor IE):

http://www.google.com/support/voice/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1205636 http://www.google.com/support/voice/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1207070

In FF, there's a button at the top of the screen to "Install Missing Plugins." When I click it, I get "No suitable plugins were found."

How do I find out what format the videos are in and what plugin is needed?

TIA, --Charlene

There is no additonal plugin needed. It is caused by a problem with the code. The site tries to open an HTML file with a Flash player via an EMBED and that doesn't work.

Use this bookmarklet to see that video.
Copy and paste the code in the location bar to see if that works for you.
Fore easy access you can create a bookmark and paste the code in the location field.

javascript:(function(){document.getElementsByTagName('OBJECT')[0].data=document.getElementsByTagName('EMBED')[0].src})();
