Firefox had a little arrow next tot he back button so you could go back multiple pages at once. Extremely valuable with forwarding pages where you need to go back 2 or 3 pages to get our of the forwarding loop.

Also hitting f5 does nothing. It used to refresh the page. Why would you remove these features in the newest version.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

The right click works great. Thanks.

Any solution to the f5 not refreshing?

Also, the open in new tab and open in new window are backwards when you right click a link...I am constantly opening new windows when i want a new tab.

@CodyRichter Use the Menu Editor extension to rearrange the items in the context menu to your liking. Here's the link: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/menu-editor/ Also, pressing the F5 button for refreshing the page works fine for me.

If F5 isn't working then you can check if that and your other problems aren't caused by an extension.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

In Firefox 4 you can use one of these to start in Safe mode:

  • Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Hold down the Shift key while double clicking the Firefox desktop shortcut (Windows)
