ID-card login does not work . (But password workes.) What should I do

I think it was a good answer. Although it is a little above my level of computer/programming knowledge, it indicates that the problem lies with the site I am trying to sign-in to. Thus I am able to approach the site owner with the facts documented in your answer and suggest an update. Thank you!
