I am an American currently in Vietnam and am unable to access the US version of FF. Is there a special link for this? Everything is in Vietnamese.

You need to contact the owner of the website in question. Some websites have support links, so try that first.

If the website simply forces all non-US connections onto a non-US version of the website, you may want to use a US proxy. If need help with that (first, ask the website's owner for support), I may be able to help you a bit, if you post in this thread (and if the email notification works... hopefully it will).

If you go to mozilla.com, doesn't it offer you Firefox in "Other Systems and Languages" option? Can't you download the US version from there. If you are able to, you can install the US version in your PC and then use the following add-on to switch between the Vietnam and US versions, it works for me between Chinese and US versions of Firefox:

If you have the Firefox user interface (menu bar) in the wrong language or want to change the current language then you can get the language of your choice here:
http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html

Uninstall the current Firefox version, but make sure that you do not remove your personal data.
Install the new Firefox version of the wanted language.

See also http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_backup and Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

You may need to (re)set the pref "general.useragent.locale" to the preferred language (e.g. "en-US" or "en-GB") on the about:config page.
You can open the about:config page via the location bar, like you open a web site.
Use the Filter bar at the top of that page to quickly locate the pref.

If the Google (Firefox) or Yahoo home page is in the wrong language then see:

Thank you for your helpful suggestions. I uninstalled FF and downloaded what clearly stated the English/US versiion and when the download finished it was still in Vietnamese. I have done this numerous times with the same result. I also went to the section to choose a language and clicked English US and still ended up with Vietnamese. I don't have this problem with IE but really prefer to use FF. Maybe there is some sort of block?
