Issues with signature in recent redownload

I recently migrated to Linux and was able to reinstall my Thunderbird account. However in the previous MS windows version I was able 'choose 'the font as well as other basics for each account signature. In the version I now have it is purely a default font. I tried the forum solution which was to create a message in html then copy it in- didn't work. i don't want to have to add a file everytime when it wasn't necessary before? I want a different signature for 5 different purpose accounts. Why can't I do this in this version of Thunderbird? I also no longer see what font I am in. I just created a dummy email and chose a font. I doubt that will be in place for my next message ie it doesn't offer a default option as outlook would

If you want your sig to be other than the default, you need to use HTML. I show a sample here. You can replace what you showed with something such as this: <span style="font-family: Calibri'; font-weight: normal; font-style: normal; text-decoration: none; font-size: 14pt;">Best Regards,<br/><br/> Gregory - Norwich</span>

I use both Linux and Windows and have had no problems. Some fonts have different names, but that doesn't seem to be the issue here. It may be helpful if you post screenshot of what you have and someone here may be able to offer suggestions. Thank you Posting screenshot of your sig in Windows may prove informative, if available.

Hi Thanks . I am struggling with a range of issues since migrating to Zorin OS. One is that having worked out how to do a screen shot , I tried to load up the wps doc which had a screen shot embedded on it ( pasting directly did nothing) - the load button below regards this as a file error - I havent' the capacity or knowledge to work out how to convert a document to a jpg etc. I can report that the accounts setting do not offer a choice fonts and yes the html button is checked

see below - after experimenting with WPS

Thanks - not male by the way - name is Georgy not Gregory I didn't have this issue when in the previous incarnation of thunderbird so very strange ....it means everyone has to understand basic html commands simple though they are....

Thunderbird has always required HTMl when the user prefers a different font. This is not new. If you desire to further customize the sig, this URL may help: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/signatures#w_signatures-stored-in-files And I apologize for not paying attention to the spelling. All the best to you. :)
