Is there a way to make AI-enhanced tab groups actually usefull?
I've tried several times with different updates to use the AI-enhanced tab groups, and it has never given me actual useful suggestions of group names. It always shows me the most generic of names and chooses almost randomly what tabs to group. This is a thing that AI should be good for, but it looks like it's unaware of what is the content of my opened tabs.
Is this feature improving or I can disable it and stop it from consuming my CPU?

Hello, I am currently only using Firefox AI features for the AI chatbot sidebar, so I can't tell if the other AI features are improving. If you want to disable it, you can type "about:preferences" in you search bar to go to Firefox settings, then select AI controls on the left sidebar and finally toggle on "Block AI enhancements" to block all AI features, or block "Tab group suggestions" under the "On-device AI" section. Hope this helps.
Thank you. This should work though. There are many addons to organize tabs but none of them does this automatically and it should be something AI could do well. The idea is good but the implementation is terrible.
I also tried Smart Window for this, and the result is even worse. It chooses only a couple of the most recent tabs and doesn't even offer a name for the group.
Hi
Please appreciate that this is a fairly new feature in Firefox. If you wish, you can leave feedback for developers on the Mozilla Connect website. Click the Firefox Menu
button in the toolbar, click Help and select Share ideas and feedback…. Alternatively, you can use this link. Your feedback is collected by a team that reads it and gathers data on the most common issues.
Thanks Paul, I'll do that.
I just want to mention that it was first released almost a year ago, or 10 releases, and I don't see any improvements on this feature so far. Hope further development is on the roadmap for this because It would be something very very useful.
