Hello,
The AI features added in firefox are found in version 135 and up. If you stil want to use AI for browsing, I suggest : Extensions Installing extensions from the web store
Setting up a Web-Based AI in the sidebar Open ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini in a tab. Right-click the tab and select Pin Tab or use an extension that allows pinning websites to the sidebar. (pinning tabs to have quick access, but keep in mind it can hog up memory.)
Search keywords
- Go to the search settings in Firefox 115.
- Add a new search engine (e.g., Perplexity or ChatGPT).
- Assign a keyword (e.g., ai) to it.
- Type ai [your question] in the address bar to quickly prompt the AI.
Enable translation Firefox 115 ESR includes local translation features based on the Bergamot project, which is a form of on-device machine learning/AI.

The older Firefox 115 ESR is based on the old Firefox 115 Release but with stability and security fixes since. The current version is 115.32.0esr and the last planned updated is 115.33.0esr on Feb 24 with no more 115.3x.0 updates after. Mozilla has been providing these updates with the EOL Windows 7, 8, 8.1 and macOS 10.12, 10.13, 10.14 OS users in mind.
