My old computer crashed and I have gotten a new computer. It's a Dell All-in-One. So anyway my question is how do I get my email to cross over to my new computer? Also we had LocalTel for a short time and my email and information went through them. My email address was Lorirn@ifiber.tv, they closed the ifiber.tv email system but was still managing it. So when my computer crashed somehow they knew about it and cancelled my email and closed everything. So now I can't get my emails that I had, which was a lot of them. Some were very important to me. I am in a very bad situation. I am hoping that you can help me somehow. I did try your transfer Thunderbird Profile Files and I don't think that I did that right. I have downloaded Thunderbird to my new computer. So I need lots of help from you if at all possible. I am hoping with fingers crossed. I have had to change my email to Lorirn5755@gmail.com, let me know if more info is needed.

You ask more questions than can be readily answered. Some info is needed. - do you have the old profile? or do you have the full appdata\roaming\thunderbird folder (which has that and more)? Inowing what you have will simplify our help. If you can create a screenshot of contents of whatever you have will be a big help. - on your ifiber.tv account, the fact that your pc crashed would not, of itself, cause the account to be closed. I encourage you to contact them, as your account may be there, and probably is. - I await your response.

Hi David! I did contact the ifiber.tv which is LocalTel. They have deleted my email address because I don't have an account with them anymore. So I have nothing of my ifiber.tv account. I was hoping to retrieve it from you guys. But if that is not possible then I will have to try to retrieve it from them. I am really upset that they did that to me. They didn't even tell me that they were going to delete it. They just deleted it!! Sooooooo anyway please let me know if there is anything I can do.

If you have the profile folder from the PC that crashed, you may be able to recover the messages. If you do a screenshot of the thunderbird folders that you have, I can make suggestions. If there is nothing saved from the old PC, then you'll need to contact the email provider.

I just called the email provider and imagine that the email file was there. So I have my emails back but did not get the folders I had saved. So I will keep on plugging along to see if I can get these back. So thank you so much for your help and responses.

Was anything salvaged from crashed PC?

No it was actually smashed. So nothing was saved.
