Thunderbird is not checking email accounts automatically. How to solve the problem? Thanks

I installed Thunderbird a few days back. Initially, it downloaded messages, but now it is not checking emails automatically, and I have to open the app and push to check the email accounts. I am using a Samsung Galaxy S23 phone if it is relevant. Please help to solve the problem. Thanks.

Please examine whether your phone has performance optimization or power saving mode enabled.

If your phone has performance optimization or power saving mode enabled, please exclude Thunderbird for Android from performance optimization or power saving mode, and/or allow Thunderbird for Android to run in the background.

Thank you very much for your help. Ya, now I have enabled to work in the background. I hope it will work smoothly. I will ask for further help if there is any problem still.
