Firefox on Android - is there equivalent of "open bookmarked site on new tab"?
Existing Firefox Desktop user with Mozilla account (which lets me sync bookmarks across several Desktop devices.) New Firefox Android (version 143.0.2) user, logged in with Mozilla account, Desktop bookmarks are accessible now on the Android Firefox installation.
Problem: I'd like keep the folder in which my bookmarks (synced from Desktop --- the folder shows up on Android Firefox as Bookmarks > Desktop Bookmarks > Bookmarks Toolbar > (a set of folders I have on Desktop firefox containing my bookmarks) open after launching a web site from a bookmark stored there.
Observation: Currently after launching a web site from bookmark stored in the above folder, the navigation I made to reach my bookmark folder of choice is no longer open, so I need to repeat the navigation process from the start to get to my bookmark folder (that was synced from Firefox Desktop.)
Alternately: I'd like copy selected bookmarks from my (large) library of bookmarks (synced from Firefox Desktop) onto the home page of Android Firefox but do not see how to do this (I can edit the bookmark where it currently resides on the Android Firefox installation, but I don't see how to make a duplicate copy on the Android Firefox home page listing (and I don't want to delete the existing bookmark(s) on the Android Firefox installation.)
Happy to provide any clarification requested or answer any questions about this request!
Thank you.

There is no direct equivalent to that feature on Firefox for Android. The app does not keep a specific bookmark folder open after launching a bookmarked page. Each time you open a bookmark, the bookmarks view resets to the top level. Also, bookmarks from Desktop folders cannot be pinned or duplicated onto the Android home page separately. At the moment, this behavior is a limitation of the Android version.
Thank you for the helpful reply.
I have a sufficient workaround set up at this point by using a sync'd desktop browser to copy a selection of bookmarks from the desktop collection of bookmarks to the "mobile" folder that has now appeared among the bookmarks on the desktop, which caused those bookmarks to appear on Firefox Android's home page. This avoids the multiple steps needed on the android device browser to reach the selected bookmarks on it's view of the desktop bookmark library, and circumvented the need for the ability to copy or clone bookmarks within the Firefox Android environment (which I don't believe is a supported procedure.)
This reduces the need for "open in other tab and keep bookmarks view open" (however, I was quite surprised that Firefox Android lacks that capability...)
Thanks again for the reply.
