Firefox told me to update Firefox, so I did. Now it is as slow as can be. How do I go back to my previous version of Firefox? I saved both.

Firefox told me to update Firefox. I had to get help from Apple support to do so. Now the new version takes forever to load anything. I can't read comments from other people on my Facebook posts. Amazon takes forever to show the products that I am looking for. I saved both versions of Firefox when I updated, so how do I find the previous version to use? It was much better on my computer.

Hi Jacquelynne, sorry to hear about this problem.

To clarify, is this problem on a Mac, iPad, or iPhone?

Also, I'm curious about how Apple support was involved. Did they have you change any settings?

Hi Jscher2000,

The problem is with an iMac Desktop computer, refurbished 2017 model, macOS Monterey, Version 12.7.6 bought less than 2 years ago from Amazon.

Apple Support is involved because I will be 81 next month and I don't remember how to do a lot of the things that I knew how to do when I was 60, 70, or even 75! So I call Apple Support ~~ sometimes they help me, and then when they screw it up, my computer vacations with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They fix it for me, and then as soon as I update something that I am told to update, things don't work out very well, and I look for answers here. Like now.

I do not like Safari. I have loved Firefox since 1999 when I retired from teaching and got my first "going online iMac" in 1999. Thank you for helping me!
