1. As I can see, your problem here is a prompt asking you to update the saved password every time after entering it. After choosing the saved entry (or even without this action, if "Fill usernames and passwords automatically" is checked) Firefox should automatically fill login and passwords fields, if there is a saved entry for the site, and ask to update the entry only if you change the autofilled value. Please specify:

• does Firefox fill login and passwords fields with the saved data?
• does the saved data update when you click the Update button in the prompt?
• does the prompt appear even if you do not make any changes to the filled values?

2. As I can see, you are asking about how to delete an old login data. Please see Edit or delete a login with the Firefox Password Manager.
