I have a list of contacts for a small mailing group. It is associated with collected address book. There is also a personal address book. I can't get some addresses (from the personal address book) to stay in my contact list. I can if they are in the collected address book. Can I merge collected and personal address books to get over this problem, or better still get rid of one of the address books and just keep the other one? Or is there an easy way to move all my personal address entries into the collected address?

pete, Are you still experiencing this issue? If yes, please do the following

1. Tools > Developer > error console 2. Clear the console (trash icon) 3. Now attempt to create a new contact in personal address book

What do you now see in the error console?

When an address book fails to retain new contacts or edits, these steps usually fix it: right-click Personal Address Book in Address Book, Export..., choose LDIF format, save the file. Help/More Troubleshooting, Profile Folder, Open Folder, close TB, delete or rename abook.sqlite. Restart TB, in Address Book, Import the LDIF file, then select the contacts in the imported address book and drag and drop them onto the Personal Address Book icon in the left pane. See if PAB retains new contacts and edits.
