In the inbox display name of people in the Address Book instead of their email.
Hello,
I have recently changed mail server and added a new account on my thunderbird software. The problem is in my inbox, I wanted to display the Name of the people registered in my address book instead of the email.
I have already set the "Show only display name for people in my Address Book". But it doesn't seem to work. What should I do? Please help!

Are you using any addons that interact with addressbook? Would you please post an image of the menu that states this: "Show only display name for people in my Address Book", as I cannot find that. Thanks.
'Show only display name...' is under Preferences/General/Reading & Display.
Did the names appear before adding the new account? Do the names appear in both the TB Address Book and the OS X Address Book, in the correct boxes? Does it look any different in safe/troubleshoot mode (hold Option when launching TB)?

Yes, the names appear before adding the new account.
The client's computer is windows. So I don't think they sync the addresses from TB Address Book to OS X Address book.
It doesn't look different in safe/troubleshoot mode.
Also I notice that some address displays the name and others don't. Even though they have the same settings. Do you know what causes this inconsistency?
Compare the contact Properties of the ones that show the name with the ones that don't. The ones that don't might have blank First, Last or Display entries in Address Book.
The one that displays, has the same properties as the ones the don't.
Both of the has blank First, Last, and only the Display entry is populated.
Are there any foreign characters in the Display field? Try toggling the Preferences setting, and see if there's a difference.
Both of them has foreigner characters.
And before I added the new account, the old account also used foreigner characters.
I also tried toggling the Preference setting a couple of times. and after a long while some displays the name but some still only displays the email.
I'm afraid I don't know anything more to work around this bug, which is present in TB 91, according to the 2nd report above. I've added this topic to that bug.

Is that new account an office365 account and are you using Exchange or OWL addon?
If you clear the cache is there an improvement?
