My Samsung Galaxy 7 phone alert says "Firefox is using battery" . how do I correct this

That message tells you which app is using the most battery - in this case you may be using Firefox for Android a lot to browse the web.

The only way you will not get those messages is to turn the device off and not to use it. There will always be one app you are using more than others - it does not mean that Firefox is draining your battery remotely.
