Very often when I go to do a search in the address bar I'll hit enter, and a little progress bar will move about a half an inch and just stay there. And nothing will happen. This is whether or not I type something in the box or I use voice to text. But this problem also sometimes happens when I simply choose to open a bookmark. It just hangs there with a white screen endlessly loading. This has been going on for the last two versions. I have to completely exit out of Firefox and start over. And then it will definitely work on the second try.

I forgot to add that I use ublock origin and cookie autodelete.

Hi

Would it be possible for you to try this with cookie autodelete turned off?

Well, I turned it off and used the browser for awhile. I didn't see the hang happen. But the hang is random. Sometimes, it won't happen for some time. Other days, it'll happen 4 or 5 times. I'll post again after more observation.

I've tried using Firefox without add-ons, and this search hang persists.

Hi

You may wish to try our new browser for Android called Firefox Preview. It is built on new technology that may mean that the issue that you are seeing may not occur.

Firefox preview is pretty bare-bones. No add-on support and bookmarks are several taps to get to. I must say, that bitwarden seems to work better with it. It clearly needs more time in the oven. but I'm also a bit alarmed to see that this browser is meant to replace my normal Firefox? I hope that's not the case.
