Hi, I got this notification on my Android saying that Firefox was detected using my camera so I revoked the permission right away. I just want to know what was Firefox exactly doing with my camera, does it allow allow all websites to take pictures of you and/or record you without you knowing because you granted it permission to use your camera? Please reply because I'm literally freaking out over the fact that maybe someone was spying on me and taking my pictures..

Perhaps some website, advertising or malicious script has requested access to the camera. Sometimes websites or ads use the javascript function getUserMedia() to get info about your device. It could trigger the notification.

It's unlikely that someone could take a picture or movie using Firefox, without your manual interaction.

It's unlikely that someone could take a picture or movie using Firefox, without your manual interaction.
