I am having trouble getting Firefox to accurately displays colors on a new wide gamut monitor. The monitor has been properly calibrated and both Photoshop and XnView display accurate colors, whereas Firefox is overly saturated. I am testing with a sRGB photo being displayed on the monitor running in AdobeRGB color space. The monitor is calibrated using V2 profiles. My Firefox config changes are included.

So far I have tried: 1) not including the reference to the icm file in the config and letting Firefox query the operating system 2) reinstalling Firefox to ensure a clean set up and no problems 3) using test patterns such as this http://www.simongarrett.co.uk/TestColours.htm In this test all images are identical, which suggest Firefox is not color managing the output

Am I missing something? any thoughts or suggestions of what to try next would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

This path doesn't look good for me. IMHO folders should be separated by backslashes.

Thanks for the response. I have now tried the path as C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\color\Benq AdobeRGB.icm This didn't solve the problem, images are still over saturated

After some testing, i narrowed it down to Firefox not using the .icm file, while other apps do. I played around with different calibration settings and found that it worked if I changed to Matrix Based Profiles. I had been calibrating with Table Based profiles.

Does anyone know if Firefox has issues with Table Based Profiles? Or could it be the size of the profile that Firefox is having trouble with. Matrix produces a 24kb Profile while Table produces a 1,291kb profile.
