Why is my TOTALAV antivirus program quarantining “TR/Crypt. XPACK.Gen” from FIREFOX program and FIREFOX Install Program

I would strongly advice you to to remove TotalAV - see :

You would be best off with just your system's built-in default security program, and maybe let malwarebytes run a scan once
a month.

I used CHROME to reach FIREFOX download site and during reinstall of FIREFOX the TOTALAV program quarantined the same file and prevented download install to complete. What’s going on? FIREFOX has worked great up to this issue.

It is very likely to be a False Positive with the antivirus client definitions. It can often occur not long after a new Firefox Release as Firefox 64.0 was released on Tuesday Dec 11.

Though the TotalAV Antivirus 2018 is itself an infection.
