Quantum 59.0.3 not working on MAC. Security Error on almost every page. Started after I did the clean up for slow starting. How to get back?

I did the "cleanup" to make Firefox run faster. Now, nothing shows properly or I get the SEC_ERROR_UNKNOWN_ISSUER error. Pictures are not showing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I am running High Sierra on my MAC and have the latest version. The only change I have made it to do the Mozilla suggested cleanup.

What do I do now?

thanks for reporting back. maybe toggling it on and off has caused avg to put the necessary certificates for this into the firefox trust store.

hi, could you give us more information about the error by clicking on the error code, copying the text to the clipboard and then pasting it here into a reply in the forum like shown in the screenshot.

thank you!

Thank you Philipp. I think I solved the problem by turning off the Web Shield on AVG. Now everything is working as before. Not that this fills me with warm fuzzies.

I can't get the error code without turning Web Shield back on, but I will try.

This is odd. I turned the Web Shield back on, and things are working properly. Maybe it was a timing glitch? Let's call this one fixed for now.
