I had 3 windows that I only actually have one window that had about 15 tabs the other two windows opened because of what I was working on. I carefully (or so I thought) closed the 2 windows with only one tab and then closed the window with the 15 tabs. But now of course I am only able to open one window with one tab. Can you help me maybe re-open my window with the 15 tabs? Or should I just kiss that window goodbye?

In the History menu there are two options to reopen recently closed tabs and windows. Your closed windows should be there.

Note that the default for reopening closed windows is 3 by default and for tabs tabs is 10.

  • browser.sessionstore.max_tabs_undo = 10
  • browser.sessionstore.max_windows_undo = 3

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.
