I just moved Thunderbird to a new Win10 computer. I copied my profile directory to the new machine. Installed Thunderbird and used the profile App to set the profile to the proper folder.

When I launch Thunderbird, it finds my calendar and email accounts, but folders don't show in the left "Folder Views" pane. I just see a "Thunderbird Mail" page with Email, Accounts and Advanced Features sub-panes. When click on the "Read Messages" link, nothing changes.

What settings to do I need to fix?

I moved the profile folders to another partition on the same drive as c:, ran "thunderbird -p", and voila' the folders appeared. I don't know why changing the partition made a difference.

Judging by the way permissions were a little hard to adjust when moving the disk drive to a new machine with the latest Win10, I suspect subtle differences between a machine that was upgraded from Win7 to Win10, but not the latest, new feature release, and a fully up-to-date Win10.

I should have mentioned that the Thunderbird profile folder was not on the C: drive. I moved the second drive to the new machine and fixed the permissions (since the PC Name had changed). I still can't figure out why the folders don't show.
