Installing Firefox on a Windows O/S withOUT a installed browser?
When Mozilla allowed FTP to be utilized, I told you could D/L Firefox onto a Windows O/S machine via the cmd command.
Can Firefox be D/L'ed via HTTP or something similar onto a Windows 7 machine that doesnt have a currently installed browser?
If so, how?

Hi !
Would you please take a look at this :
https://superuser.com/questions/1106634/how-to-install-a-browser-without-a-browser
Thank you for your suggestion BUT.... is there a simpler way to D/L Firefox via the CMD line usage? I have some knowalge about using DOS commands, etc but the suggestions given are a bit over my pay-grade.
Its' ironic that for most Firefox users they have to use MICROSOFT's I.E. to D/L their preferred web-browser.
Could have a look here : http://www.mattsilverman.com/2009/06/how-to-download-firefox-without-a-web-browser.html and https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Firefox/Enterprise_deployment and http://setuix.com/download-firefox-without-a-browser/ There are more places : google search terms : download firefox by command line servers :
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US/ ftp://releases.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/latest/win32/en-US/
Can change the 32 to 64 also
Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
The FTP protocol is no longer supported on Mozilla servers, so you would need a program (utility) that supports the http(s) protocol to retrieve a file like an external download manager.
All Firefox releases on the Mozilla server:
You would normally use a USB jump drive and save the Firefox installer to this drive to transfer the file to another computer.
Yes Mozilla turned off the ftp protocol back on Aug 5, 2015 so ftp://ftp.mozilla.org no longer works.
The current version of Firefox full setups for Windows can be downloaded at www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ and transferred to PC by way of a usb flash drive as said.
Thanks James. I have not looked at the site you posted but do I understand this correctly. I can go to the site you listed. Install a USB Flash Drive into whatever computer I am viewing this site. D/L whatever version is listed at that site (are there different versions for the different languages, etc?) on to the Flash Drive.
Then..... install that Flash Drive into the computer that currently does NOT have FF on it. Open the Flash Drive FF file. Copy (????) it on to the "C" drive (where???? program file???) . Then open that FF file and it will (automatically?) load FF on to the computer.
Correct???
Thanks all.
You can just run the full version of the Firefox directly from the USB flash drive to start the installation. There is no requirement to copy the file to the hard drive, so you only need to plugin the USB stick and open the drive in the Windows File Explorer and locate the file. Double-click the file to start the installation of Firefox.
