remove IBM security rapport addon

more options

In the addons manager list is IBM security rapport 1.4 with the only option to either enable/disable it. It recently downloaded itself with a firefox update so cannot say where/when it came from.

I realise that firefox are trying to help by adding it to the list but in this case the addon is useless as it does not allow you to add new web sites to be protected.

Therefore I need to remove it as it's impacting on my original rapport trusteer program as if I update my rapport program it only updates this addon.

Any ideas how you can remove it from the addon manager list?

Hi   !

Depending on the Rapport version you're running, this add-on was automatically installed by IBM, see :

https://trusteer.secure.force.com/PKB/articles/FAQ/How-to-enable-Rapport-Firefox-extension

(no option to remove it)

Should you decide to get rid of this program altogether :

Thanks for your reply. I don't want to uninstall my original rapport program as it's far superior to firefox's addon.

So there seems to be only two options available :- 1. stay on firefox53 as my program works with this version and never update it or 2. find another browser

I think I'll just look for another browser. It's a shame as I really like firefox and have used it for a number of years but it looks like it's goodbye firefox.

Saying 'Goodbye' to the best browser on the planet : that would indeed
be a shame. There's got to be a solution. Have you tried to contact Trusteer, and if not : would you  ?

Contacting Firefox or IBM Rapport is useless. They just keep giving the same answers, but no solutions. I don't want using IE for a browser or any other Google browser. Yet, Rapport is an absolute must, as far as I'm concerned.
