Why is there no Tbird 45.9esr? Mainstream no longer supports GTK+2 theming and looks horrible.

All,

I am being prompted to upgrade from Tbird 45.8 and according to the mozilla site ESR has been merged with mainstream. When the initial upgrade notice came out weeks ago due to an incorrect setting in ESR update, I was updated to 52 which broke lightning and no longer recognized my GTK+2 themes that are necessary for uniformity. Has this been fixed in the mainstream version that the update is pointing to? If not, why not? There is no technical reason not to support existing GTK+2 themes. It works just fine in 45.8.

1. manpower 2. there are several major issues in 45.x series that simply won't be fixed, but have been fixed in 52.x or are making good progress toward getting fixed 3. there frankly haven't been any clamor for it Because of #1 and #2 I do not expect use to reconsider - and the future is all version 52.

If you have a calendar issue in version 52 that doesn't appear to have already been posted about, please post it.

p.s. I would encourage you to file bugs against specific gtk or Thunderbird items you consider to be bugs
