Whenever i am going through some of my mail folders and deleting email, i randomly get this error message. Happens quite often and then some of the emails i just deleted reappears. It gets really annoying when i have a lot of email in that folder and i go through and delete around 20 emails and then 10 of them reappear after the error message pops up. And i have to go through trying to figure out what email has not been deleted and attempt to delete them again.

This problem has been happening for a few months now.

If you have deleted messages reappearing then it sounds like you may have a corrupted Inbox.

Move all good wanted emails into different suitable folders. Select all the remaining unwanted emails and click on Delete. When Inbox is empty: right click on Inbox and select 'Compact'

Normally you do not need to empty the Inbox before compacting, but if you suspect any corruption then it would be wise to do so. Info on compacting - what it does and why it is important:

Strongly advise you empty 'Junk' and then compact it as well.

Report back on results.

Its not just my inbox, It seems to be every folder i have in both my email accounts on thunderbird. They are both hotmail accounts. This issue only started a few months ago before that it was all working fine.
