When I open a new tab, all tabs show the same thing. What happened? And how can I fix this.
This started a few days ago and only happens on m computer, not my computer at work ... so I know it isn't an OS/Firefox issue.
I used to have two tabs that opened when I opened Firefox. Then a couple of days ago, all the tabs showed the same page. And now when I open a new tab, all the tabs switch to that URL. The only way to get around this is to open a new window, making Tabs useless.
I've restarted my computer several times and that didn't fix it.
I'm running Firefox 47.0 on Max OS X Yosemite 10.10.5.

Type about:preferences#general<enter> in the address bar.
There are two settings;
- When Firefox Starts
When the browser is started, what do you want to display. Many of us choose Show My Home Page.
- Home Page
When a new page is opened, what do you want displayed.
- Use Current Page. Use what ever page(s) are open at that time.
- Use Bookmark
- Restore To Default. about:home shows a Mozilla home page with tools.
You can use any of these that you wish;
about:home (Firefox default home page), about:newtab (shows the sites most visited), about:blank (a blank page),
or you can enter any webpage or about: page you want.
I have a similar problem except it is this: when I try to 'open a link in a new identity profile' nothing happens when I then open the same link in a new tab it opens it in whatever identity profile I previously chose and will not change back to the identity profile of the original tab unless i then click on the new tab and choose the old identity profile in 'open in a new identity profile'!!! This is so annyoing. Obviously I have figured out how to work around it but.. MAKE IT STOP!!! Thanks
