Is there a way to automatically allow a third party plugin in Firefox prior to first use for multiple users?
I'm looking for a way to automatically set a third party plugin to "allow" for all users within the company. I've verified that the plugin is safe. I'd like to avoid the users having to click on Allow, then Allow and Remember in order to change the setting in Tools / Page Info / Permissions tab for the specific plugin from Use Default to the Allow radio button. The website is for internal use only and not public facing where the plugin is needed.

You can set its corresponding plugin.state pref to 2.
- 0:Never Activate; 1:Ask to Activate; 2:Always Activate
You would have to check the about:config page to find the correct pref for that plugin.
You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I'll be careful" to continue.
You can use the mozilla.cfg file in the Firefox program folder to set or lock preferences.
A local-settings.js file needs to be placed in the "defaults/pref" folder where also the channel-prefs.js file is located to specify using mozilla.cfg.
pref("general.config.filename", "mozilla.cfg");
pref("general.config.obscure_value", 0);
These functions can be used in the mozilla.cfg file:
defaultPref(); // set new default value pref(); // set pref, allow changes in current session lockPref(); // lock pref, disallow changes
The mozilla.cfg file needs to start with a comment line (//).
