AOL and Yahoo accounts work in IE, but connections time out when using Thinderbird. No requests for passwords, although saved 1s are incorrect.

Support pages say to check passwords and found them incorrect. This is supported by the need to enter them each time I open and send the 1st mail from each account, previously. I deleted saved passwords and no prompts for entering new passwords. Anyone know what the fault is?

I'd start by deleting the saved incorrect passwords.

Tools|Options|Security|Passwords→Saved Passwords

I deleted saved passwords and no prompts for entering new passwords. That didn't help.
