Thunderbird is slow with large folders
I have a trash folder (That I use for archive) with over 3,000 messages. When I want to access this folder, Thunderbird is very slow to respond. This happens only since version 30 and over. I am on WIN 7 64, the server is a pop type server

Only one account? What type of computer hardware?
If you Start *Windows'* safe mode with networking enabled - win7 http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/start-computer-safe-mode#start-computer-safe-mode=windows-7 Then still In Windows safe mode, start thunderbird in safe mode - http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/safe-mode Does problem go away?
No response - Apparently not to important to solve?
Anyway... A. You don't want a trash folder of 3,000 messages B. I hesitate to ask, how big is the Inbox?
