There is a line in about:config that is suspected of causing issues with preferences sync (no firefox preferences are synced).

"services.sync.engine.prefs.modified"

It is set to false by default, and when i change it to True it will change back to false after a Sync.

Also when i try to change that line a new one appears called "services.sync.engineStatusChanged.prefs.modified" and it is set to True?

I have tried changing "services.sync.engine.prefs.modified" setting to True on both of my PCs (windows 7) that are used for sync, but it always resets to false.

It looks like the firefox sync server is enforcing the "false" setting for some reason?! Is there any way to force "services.sync.engine.prefs.modified" to stay on True?

I just posted an answer in your other Sync thread over here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1099207?page=2#answer-821523

I am going to lock this as a duplicate thread.

Sorry about the lack of response thus far in both threads, but I suspect knowledge about Sync is lacking among the volunteer contributors around here.
