The alarm icon doesn't go away after I stop the alarm.

Several times now after I stop an alarm that is going off the alarm icon doesn't go away, even after restarting and deleting the alarm. It appears that the system slows down after this and is not as responsive. The only way I could fix it was with a factory reset. Appreciate your help on this.

I'm using Alcatel Onetouch Klif running Firefox OS 2.0.

Try restarting your phone

I tried restarting and that didn't work. However, I just left it and it eventually went away after a day. Possibly it disappeared after I received a phone call.

Now I don't use the alarm as it's too buggy. Instead I use the timer to wake me up as it's more consistent.
