I have backed up my Thunderbird profile, using instructions found on this site, in order to move messages to a different computer. On the destination computer, when I selected the profile name from the memory stick where I backed up the profile, only a small number of the messages appeared in the new folders within Thunderbird, and not all folders from the old computer appeared within Thunderbird on the new computer. I have done this before, successfully, and I must have done something right this time because some of the data did restore to the new computer. (Experimenting, I marked all messages on the old computer as "unread" and redid the process, with the same result.) Has anybody run into this before?

New information: Before I tried the above, I already had a Thunderbird profile on the destination computer. When I tried to re-select the original profile via "settings"/browse, I got a message that the profile was not suitable for data storage. I didn't make any changes to the original profile. Not sure why it is now not suitable as it worked just fine before I started this backup/move process. Does this sound familiar to anyone?
