i synced my bookmarks and passwords from windows 10 to windows 8 they were there then they dissapeared

After hours of trying to figure out how to sync my bookmarks and passwords from my old computer with windows 10 installed to my new computer with windows 8 still in it I finally got them synced and they showed up on my new computer just where they needed to be and than they disappeared. Some of them are in the bookmark tab but the majority of them I am unable to find. I disconnected the sync in both computers and that is when they disappeared on the new computer is that why this happened? The instructions do not identify what to do after you sync them.

And I deleted all of them from my old computer so now what?

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder.

If you use Sync then best is to disconnect Sync (temporarily) while performing maintenance/repair efforts to the places.sqlite database.
