The latest update removed all my add-ons. What am I supposed to do, scroll through the whole gd list of add-ons again? And where is the bloody tool and options bar? Is there a way I can just have it above the url line again? Is there no longer a preview screen that explains the latest update and how to make changes to return to easy use? Do you want me to use Chrome from now on? Excuse me, but I am so sick of ridiculous changes making my life more complicated. I spend enough time in front of a computer as it is.

Is there a profile backup folder on your desktop? Sometimes this is created when updating from a much older version of Firefox. If there is, you may be able to use these instructions to restore from the backup: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles

I actually solved this problem by asking another question, sic: "What this extra folder from Firefox." It then occurred to me that I had pushed the reset button instead of the refresh button, at the request of a web site I was visiting. So the problem was of my own making, and yes, thank you, I've restored what I needed from the profile folder and figured out the rest of the changes in this latest update. Kindly disregard my mild rant. Computers and computer software being as complicated as they are, you would think by now I would have the common decency to ask a simple question......and then just fix it.  :)

Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings

If you're having problems with Firefox, refreshing it can help. The refresh feature fixes many issues by restoring Firefox to its default state while saving your essential information like bookmarks, passwords, and open tabs.
