How can I choose the webcam I use when starting a "hello" video call?

If I join a Hello video call (conversation) started by someone else, then I can choose which webcam I want to use from my built-in vs. external webcam. How can I do that when I start the conversation? Is there a way to save those settings for my preferred webcam?

Hi,

The people who answer questions here, for the most part, are other Firefox users volunteering their time (like me), not Mozilla employees or Firefox developers.

If you want to leave feedback for Firefox developers, you can go to the Firefox Help menu and select Submit Feedback... or use this link. Your feedback gets collected at http://input.mozilla.org/, where a team of people read it and gather data about the most common issues.

Thank you Ronnie.

Hi Ronnie,

As of now HELLO uses built-in cameras and doesn't recognize external camera. Don't worry, HELLO is still in Beta version. There will be a lot of changes to be expected.

Please let me know if this helps.

Thank you.

Thanks Adriel, the reply is helpful but the answer is not. Since I get to choose what camera I want used when invited to a call but do not when initiating a call, the current version of the Hello video call is not very usable for those of us that use external webcams and want to start calls. Hope that part gets 'fixed' very soon!
