How can I delete all inbox messages earlier than a certain date?
I never delete my messages and now I have so many in my inbox that I think it's causing my account to be slow. Is there a way to delete all my inbox except the last week, month or so?

Click on the column header labeled Date. Make sure the newest messages are at the top. If they are not at the top click Date a second time to reverse the sort.
Now scroll down to the newest message that you want to keep and click it once to select it. Now hold down the control and the shift keys and press End on the keyboard. This will select everything below the first message you selected. Press the Delete key.
