Why Wiktionary search engine does not have an icon?
Ok, I know it is a minor annoyance. Anyway, where is the problem? In the Wiktionary site or inside Firefox?

Search engine icons a part of the search engine file. Presumably you've installed a search engine that lacks an icon.
The Wiktionary English SSL search engine from the Mycroft Project has an icon.
You can check if you have the XML files of the default search engines including Google in the browser\searchplugins folder in the Firefox program folder.
If not then you need to reinstall Firefox.
