Firefox 31 asking me repeatedly to update to 32.0.3.

Hi. I have Firefox 31 running on Win 8.1, 64-bit.

I prefer to install updates when convenient, and was warned repeatedly (ongoing) to install Firefox 32.0.1, 32.0.2 and 32.0.3. Today, after repeatedly trying to install the update (as I've done before), I noticed that my current version is 31 and and all the updates I had thought were installed were not, in actuality.

I should mention that I have myself as a standard user and 'ok' higher level processes with an administrator password. Obviously, when I attempted to install the updates; I typed in that password.

I should note that 31 was an update I now wish I hadn't installed, as it slowed my i7 down and would frequently become unresponsive for 30 sec, a minute or more. If this update does not address this issue; would you PLEASE give me a heads-up?? At this point I may roll back to 30.

Your personal data is stored elsewhere in the Firefox profile folder, so you won't lose your bookmarks and other personal data when you update or (re)install Firefox as long as you do not remove personal data in case you would uninstall Firefox.

The Firefox 32.0.3 release fixes a serious security vulnerability in NSS (secure connections) and should be installed.

I cannot even pretend to say thanks, as your answer didn't help me in the slightest. Firefox will not update itself. I've tried. I would rather not uninstall and reinstall or anything like that because I do not want to lose my preferences and plugins. If you don't mind, please read the whole post. Thank you!

If updating does not work, why not just download the installer and get Firefox 32 that way? You can get the latest version from here:

Ok. As instructed; I've reinstalled. However there are no preferences, plugins, etc. Its brand spanking new. Lol. Would you please advise as to how do I now implement the data you mentioned in my firefox older?

I'm fine. Please disregard. While my browser is not restored to the way it was previously....sync took care of the rest. Problem solved. Ty again.
