I've been waiting for the mobile Firefox OS to be available here in the US, so that I can get a smart phone. Do you have any idea when/if your mobile Firefox OS will be available to users here in the US?

There is currently no information available about when Firefox OS will be available in stores through mobile operators in the US. However, there are 3 devices that you can currently buy online and have shipped to the US:

  • Flame Reference device - This is Mozilla's reference device, used by internal teams for development and testing. Comes rooted and unlocked.
  • ZTE Open C - This is ZTE's offering for a developer device. Comes unlocked, and may be rooted with an update.
  • ZTE Open - This is ZTE's first offering of a Firefox OS developer device. It is the first generation of device, so it has less power, but is slightly cheaper.
