after sending a message i cannot enter into the sent folder!
I used Thunderbird to read a message. Then I replied to it. At time of sending, was notified a kind of error but I could not read well. After that, I checked if the message was sent or not and I clicked on the "sent" folder. But the sign appear as if I have to wait altough nothing materialize. Better, the list of sent messages appear on my right but the arrow still rotate as to say "wait". If I move the arrow to the list of messages, the messages disapper. Practically, I cannot use my "sent" folder!!!

Hey Lino!!! If I'm understanding you correctly, after sending a message you cannot enter that message into the "Sent" folder. 'Please keep in mind that if the message hasn't been sent, that could be a reason it's not in the sent folder'. Otherwise, here are some steps for you in ensuring "sent" mail goes to the "sent" folder.
1.) Go to "Tools" > "Account Settings" > Select your email account > Then go to "Copies & Folders" page.
2.) In the top section of the page, check the "Place a copy in" check-box, and then click the Sent Folder on option.
3.) In the drop-down list to the right, select your e-mail address.
4.) Click OK to save the changes.
Here is the link I used to find this information:
This link was used to solve someone's AOL account. However, when reading the information just ignore "AOL." Try that and let me know if it works out for you.
Thank you for replying, but unfortunately that is not the problem.
After the sending of one message, the folder is now UNACCESIBLE.
I sent a message, (an unlucky one) and after that I tried to enter into the SENT folder to check if it was sent or not.
BUT WHEN I CLICK ON SENT FOLDER THE LITTLE ROUND SIGN ROTATING NEARBY THE ARROW COMES ON and the folder is unaccessible.
After many attempts, I decided to use a previous backup and I started fresh new.
The files about the wrong mails is still in my computer, after many attempts i discovered that such file (the sent one) is corrupted and impossible to copy or delete.
My problem is over but now wondering how comes a complete file can be corrupted like that.
I am using windows 8.1 maybe that is the reason, I heard such error is frequest. When i try to copy the file, the error is 0x80070570
Is it possible that the Sent folder had to many emails and simply could not accept any more?
Many people forget about the Sent folder, they just send emails and the copy is in the Sent folder.
It would be a good idea to check the Sent folder every so often: delete anything you do not need to keep; Archive emails you want to store. Finally compact the folder to remove all traces of 'marked as deleted' emails.
