=What is Tracking?=
Tracking is the ability of a website to keep tabs on a users activity via special software tools. Web tracking stores information about your internet activity. Many websites use cookies as a way to keep stats on your browsing history.
=What is Tracking Protection?=
Tracking protection allows you to take control of your privacy online. Turning on do not track blocks known or suspected tracking domains. Enabling tracking protection lets Firefox tell advertising networks, other websites and applications that you opt-out of tracking especially for purposes of behavioral advertising. This is performed by sending a do not track http header whenever your data is requested by the web.
=Why Use Tracking Protection?=
Using tracking protection gives you more control over what you share. It changes the way your personal information is collected and used online. Enabling Tracking protection gives you the choice about your privacy and sharing options.
=How to use tracking protection on Firefox for Android=
To turn on do not track for Firefox on Android:
#Swipe left and tap on browser tools [[Template:AndroidMenuLocation]] and then {button Settings} [[Template:AndroidMore]].
#Next tap {button Privacy}, then {button Tracking} choose "Tell websites not to track me". This is where you can turn the do not track feature on.
The Do-not-track feature is turned off by default.
