Whenever I try to print something in Firefox my printer list only shows the last half of the network address, excluding the critical make and model number of the printers. Because of this, it's very difficult to determine which printer is which from the list.

Those seems to be mapped network printers. You need to list what O/S your using so others can verify if their O/S is mapping network printers. That's AFAIK comes from the O/S making the printer queues.
