Encoding for french words
Since the new update in Thunderbird, there seems to be no way to change the encoding to fit with french words.
I tried changing it to Western but the option has been greyed out and in the "language" advance options it does not exist any more.
Does anybody know how to fix this? or tell me how to get in touch with an actual person from Thundbird?
ex: à vérifier si vous êtes dans la trajectoire de départ ou dâarrivée de certains vols et si lâavion en question a bien respecté les règles dâatténuations du bruit présentement en vigueur à lâaéroport Montréal Saint-Hubert.

The encoding of mail is set by the sender. Have you tried the "repair text encoding" option on the view menu? I have not used it, but I am guessing it is the new method of fixing these emails.
I tried the "repair text encoding" and I can confirm that nothing happens. I guess the encoding has to be changed but it has been greyed out and the option has been deleted in the advanced options. I added the add-on "Charset Menu" and that didn't change anything either.
